About Private Label
Private label graded card protection lets you sell proven products under your own brand — without investing in molds, production lines, or quality systems. TOP supplies finished products with your branding, packaging, and retail-ready presentation, manufactured under the same QC standards as our own line.
What Is a Private Label Graded Card Protection Program
A private label program means TOP manufactures the product; you own the brand. We produce graded card protectors, guards, bumpers, and display cases from our existing tooling and material platforms, then apply your branding, colors, and packaging before shipment.
For card shops, online sellers, distributors, and TCG brands, private label is the fastest path to market:
- No mold investment — existing product platforms are ready for branding
- No QC infrastructure — TOP’s four-stage QC and certified facility handle production quality
- No minimum R&D — product-market fit is already proven by TOP’s existing line
- Fast turnaround — branding-only programs move faster than custom OEM development
Compare with our Custom OEM & ODM program if you need a new product shape, material, or structural design that does not exist in our current lineup.
Product Lines Available for Private Label
All current TOP product categories can be supplied under private label, with branding applied at the product or packaging level:
| Product Category | Base Materials | Branding Options | Typical MOQ |
|---|---|---|---|
| Graded Card Protectors | PMMA / TPU / Silicone | Logo print, color match, insert card | 200 pcs per style per color |
| Graded Card Guards | Aluminum alloy / Glass | Laser engraving, color anodizing, packaging | 100 pcs per style per color |
| Slab Protectors | Metal / Acrylic | Silk-screen print, custom insert, packaging | 200 pcs per style per color |
| Slab Bumpers | TPU | Laser engraving, custom color, gradient finish | 200 pcs per style per color |
MOQ is per style per color combination. Mixed-color orders within the same product family can be negotiated for volume programs. For exact MOQ and pricing for your target product mix, request a private label quotation.
Branding and Customization Options
Private label branding covers three levels — choose the depth that matches your retail positioning:
Product-Level Branding
- Logo printing — silk-screen or pad printing on protector surfaces (low-tooling, fast setup)
- Laser engraving — permanent branding on metal guards and bumpers
- Color matching — custom TPU colors, anodized aluminum tones, or PMMA tints matched to your brand palette
- Insert cards — branded paper or card stock inserts inside packaging, with product info and UPC
Packaging-Level Branding
- Retail boxes — custom-printed carton with your artwork, barcodes, and regulatory text
- Hang tags — branded header cards for retail pegboard or hook display
- Poly bags — custom-printed or labeled polybags for bulk wholesale channels
- Blister cards — sealed retail cards for point-of-sale impulse purchase
Program-Level Branding
- Consistency across SKUs — unified packaging family so your protection line looks like a single brand
- Barcode and UPC labeling — we apply your registered UPCs or generate internal SKUs for tracking
- Multi-language inserts — English standard; other languages available on request
Quality Control Consistency
A common concern with private label is whether the product quality matches the supplier’s own brand. At TOP, private label products run on the same production lines, under the same QC system, as TOP-branded products:
- Same raw materials — identical resin batches, aluminum suppliers, and magnet vendors
- Same four-stage QC — IQC on incoming materials, IPQC during production, FQC on finished goods, OQC sampling at AQL 2.5 before shipping
- Same inspection criteria — transparency, dimensional accuracy, surface finish, closure retention
- Same certifications — ISO 9001:2015 aligned, TÜV Rheinland and SGS audited, RoHS and REACH material compliance
The only difference is the branding on the product and packaging. See our quality control page for the full QC breakdown.
Private Label vs. Custom OEM — Which Path Fits Your Business
| Decision Factor | Private Label | Custom OEM / ODM |
|---|---|---|
| Product shape | Uses existing TOP molds | New mold development from your design |
| Tooling cost | None | Mold fee quoted per project |
| Development time | 7–15 days for branding setup | 15–30 days including mold and prototype |
| MOQ | Lower — starting from 100–200 pcs per style | Higher — quoted per mold and material batch |
| Customization depth | Branding, color, packaging | Structural design, material, dimensions, features |
| Best for | Fast market entry, proven SKUs | Unique product, proprietary design |
| Intellectual property | TOP owns tooling; you own brand | Mold ownership negotiable; you own design |
Most first-time B2B buyers start with private label to validate demand, then move selected SKUs to custom OEM once volume justifies tooling investment. Contact us to review which path matches your volume and timeline.
How the Private Label Process Works
From first contact to first shipment, a typical private label program runs in five stages:
Stage 1: Product Selection
You select base products from our product catalog — protectors, guards, bumpers, or cases — and specify target quantities per SKU and color.
Stage 2: Branding Specification
We confirm logo placement, print method, color matches, packaging artwork, and any insert-card content. You provide vector logo files and packaging artwork; we provide die-lines and print specifications.
Stage 3: Sampling
Pre-production samples are produced with your branding applied, shipped for approval. Standard products with branding: 7–10 days. Complex color matches or multi-SKU sample sets: 10–15 days. Samples are available on request.
Stage 4: Production
After sample approval, production is scheduled. Standard private label lead time is 20–30 days after approval, depending on order size and SKU count. We provide a written production schedule with QC checkpoints.
Stage 5: QC, Packaging, and Shipping
Finished goods pass four-stage QC, are packed in your branded packaging, and shipped with commercial invoice, packing list, and certificate of origin as required. See our manufacturing process for the full flow.
What You Need to Start
To receive an accurate quotation and timeline, provide:
- Product list — which SKUs from our catalog, with quantities per style and color
- Branding assets — vector logo files (AI/EPS/PDF), color references (Pantone or CMYK), and any existing packaging artwork
- Packaging preference — bulk polybag, retail box, hang tag, blister card, or custom
- Target market — country and channel (retail, online, wholesale, distribution), which affects labeling and compliance requirements
- Timeline — when you need first delivery and expected reorder frequency
